Cancer Inspired is a space to experience the ironic beauty that cancer can inspire. Though potentially devastating and easily daunting, cancer can also reveal life where beauty and strength that can renew. Like the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes, bodies and spirits transform with cancer and take flight.
Zion Banks is a Chief Storyteller by profession who lives her passion to document all journeys. Her September 2022 cancer diagnosis was no exception. On these digital pages, I have laid bare all my thoughts, fears, hopes and dreams for what lies on the other side of cancer, a disease that took my mother’s life at 57 years old.
